1st EPAL. of Karditsa, traveled to the city of Iasi, Romania from 27 February 2022 to
5 March 2022, in the context of the 3rd project meeting of the European Program with code 2020-1-EU01-KA229-077885_5 and title: "From school to life - my knowledge helps me in my daily life". Seven students of our school, accompanied by the teachers Gkouma Asterio and Giannakou Dimitra, all members of the European project team, represented the 1st EPAL of Karditsa in this meeting. The participating countries in this program are: Estonia, Greece, Poland, Turkey and Romania. The main topic of the program is renewable energy sources. The topic of the 3rd meeting was solar energy. Teachers and students of our school participated in presentations, meetings, actions and activities related to the topic and returned to Greece full of knowledge, experiences, memories and new friends. They renewed their appointment for the 4th and last meeting of the program which will take place in Karditsa at the beginning of May 2022. Note that all activities were carried out always taking into account the protection and hygiene measures against the covid-19 pandemic. 1st EPAL of Karditsa, has undertaken in the past and will continue to do so, innovative actions that contribute to improving the quality of education provided to our students. He has also made efforts to take advantage of opportunities that offer our teachers and students even more knowledge and experience, which will prove useful for their school work and personal life.

Teachers and students of our school participated in presentations, meetings, actions and activities related to the topic and returned to Greece full of knowledge, experiences, memories and new friends. Traditional and alternative sources of energy-consumption and impact on the environment Wednesday, 26th May 10:00-14:00 Students of Bağyurdu Anadolu Lisesi will introduce their country, culture, Izmir and school. The same is expected form Estonia, Greece, Romania and Poland. They will present their presentations to introduce their country, culture, city and school. Thursday, 27th May 10:00-14:00 Students of Bağyurdu Anadolu Lisesi will present their presentations on energy consumption. They will think of ways to raise people’s interest in responsible energy consumption and use of alternative energy sources. And they create models, posters or animations etc. Sunday, 30th May 10:00-14:00 Students will present their creations about the workshop. The participants are going to fill in the evaluation forms and conclude the meeting. The activities will take place online, during regular working hours.The results of the exchange: school presentations,presentation about Turkey and İzmir,presentations about traditional and alternative sources of energy, workshop metarials, students’ creations,videos from activities, photos, initial and final evaluation questionnaires,feedback forms,Europass documents and certificates. Students of the host school will introduce their country, culture, Izmir and school. The same is expected form Estonia, Greece, Romania and Poland – presentations to introduce their country, culture, city and school. DAY 2 Students will present their PPT presentations on energy consumption and answer questions other students may ask about the presentations. Workshop: - energy consumption and how individual usage affects the environment (students use online tools like EPA’s climate change calculator, National Geographic’s Personal Energy Calculator). Which calculator to use, will be chosen by the host. Discussion of the results. DAY 3 Workshop with an expert arranged by the host school (a scholar at the university). DAY 4 As an outcome of the activity, each school will prepare a poster, a video or animation etc (their own choice) the idea of which is to raise people’s awareness of responsible energy consumption and the alternative energy sources. The products will be uploaded to eTwinning and the project website.
